How to Groom a Bullmastiff
The Bullmastiff’s short, dense coat is relatively straightforward to maintain. Weekly brushing with a rubber grooming mitt removes loose hairs and keeps the coat in good condition. Bathing every eight to ten weeks keeps the coat clean. Their facial wrinkles and folds require regular cleaning β ideally daily β to prevent skin fold infections. Their drooping lips and jowls mean they drool significantly, particularly after eating and drinking. Ear cleaning should be performed weekly. Their size means nail trimming should be performed regularly to prevent overgrowth which can affect their gait and cause discomfort.
